Karl’s ’69 RS Camaro
What started as a partially built ’69 Camaro Yenko clone turned into one of the most extreme pro-touring builds to come out of the Speedtech Performance shop. Originally purchased by a client who later stepped away from the project, the car found its way into the hands of Karl, a local St. George resident who had been dreaming of a ’69 Camaro. With Karl’s vision to compete in events like the Silver State Classic and Texas Mile, the build took on an entirely new purpose: blending show-stopping quality with race-ready performance. After stripping the Camaro down, replacing the floor pan, firewall, fenders, quarters, and more, the body was perfected and finished in a stunning Ford Raptor Charcoal Metallic Gray. Every panel, every line, and every detail was meticulously refined to ensure this car looks as good at a national show as it performs on the track.
Speedtech ExtReme Engineering at Its Core
Under the hood sits a 750+ horsepower, 427ci LS engine — before even hitting the nitrous — mated to a Speedtech ExtReme subframe with proprietary street-and-track optimized suspension geometry. Ron Sutton “Secret Sauce” valved coilover shocks, a Sweet race-inspired rack-and-pinion steering system, and massive 6-piston StopTech brakes give Karl the precision, control, and stopping power needed to handle high-speed runs and aggressive cornering. From its custom aero splitter designed to improve downforce and airflow at triple-digit speeds to its fully custom interior with race-ready details, no effort was spared in making this Camaro a true performance weapon. Built to dominate both open-road races and national show floors, Karl’s ’69 Camaro is a showcase of what’s possible when Speedtech engineering meets extreme attention to detail.
