After Frankie from So Cal bought his dream T-Type Regal he went through the 3.8 Turbo V6 and set the car up for drag racing. Unfortunately after some really hard passes the motor came undone and Frankie decided it was time to really put some power into it. A GM LSX 454 backed by a T56 6 speed was slipped between the frame rails and then the car came to us for a whole different suspension attitude, so we installed our G body full Track Time suspension. Up front this includes geometry correcting tubular upper and lower control arms, Chicane coilover conversion brackets, autocross shocks and a larger tubular sway bar. A Lee 670 quick ratio steering box and ATS tall spindles handle the corner navigating while Speedtech Logo 6 piston Baer brakes gripping 14″ rotors handle the whoa power. Out back a new Currie 9″ Ford axle is supported by Speedtech Articulink trailing arms and coilovers on our conversion brackets. Topping it all off is a set of 18×9″ and 18×9.5″ Forgeline RBC3 wheels sporting 275 and 295 Falken Azenis RT615 tires. What a difference this made from the old drag style suspension and Frankie is anxious to go cone dodging instead of just straight line haulin’.
