Rack and Pinion Steering Shaft Kits

If you’re using a stock/factory steering column you will need to purchase a steering column adapter. This adapter replaces the factory rag joint with a solid 1″ 48 spline mount. Some aftermarket steering columns come with the 1″ 48 spline shaft, check with your column manufacturer if you’re unsure. If you have a steering shaft other than factory or 1″ 48 spline, please call us to see if we have one available for your column’s configuration.

This Double U-joint Steering Shaft Kit is designed to facilitate the installation of Unisteer’s Rack & Pinion kit in ’67-’69 Camaros and Firebirds with power steering. Included in the kit are two U-Joints and one section of shaft. Available with a 1″ 48 spline input, this kit works with factory steering columns with the above adapter or aftermarket columns with the 1″ 48 spline configuration. If you have a different column please call us to see if we have a shaft kit available in your configuration. This kit is designed to work specifically with Speedtech brand high clearance custom fitted headers.

This Triple U-joint Steering Shaft Kit is designed to facilitate the installation of Unisteer’s Rack & Pinion kit in ’67-’69 Camaros and Firebirds with power steering and aftermarket headers. Included in the kit are three U-Joints, two sections of 3/4″ round shaft, support bearing, and frame mount bearing bracket. Note: even with the 3 joint shaft there may be some additional fab work required with some headers. Available with a 1″ 48 spline input, this kit works with factory steering columns with the above adapter or aftermarket columns with the 1″ 48 spline configuration.
