Alan is a local customer that had already done some work to his 70 Chevelle. This included a 5.3 LS transplant, a few bolt on suspension goodies, paint and body done, and some 18″ old school style wheels. Our task was to add some horsepower, stiffen up the chassis, add larger brakes, and rebuild the front suspension. While it was here he requested some more contemporary wheels and tires as well.
First project was to remove the body and the engine from the frame. From there we replaced the front suspension with Speedtech control arms, coilover shocks, and our Tall AFX spindles. Willwood handles the braking with 13″ rotors and 4 piston calipers. The frame rails got boxed and braced. For the engine bay a new 430 hp LS3 covered in an Eddie Motorsports drive system found it’s way in there backed by a 4L65E trans.
Next on to the interior including a Vintage Air system and back lit LED gauges… This is a work in progress so keep checking back for more!
